I saw the reports from last night about the Long billed Dowitcher at Bowling Green Marsh and had some spare time before work so I made my way there. I got there about 20 mins before it flew to the Clyst. In that time it mainly tucked it's head under it's wing.I re found the bird at the mud banks off the viewing platform and had great views of it but the bad light ruined any chance of a good shot on the phone! But I did watch it feed with Barwits and Redshanks.
